Furtwangler conducts the Berliner Philharmoniker in wartime. From wartime propaganda newsreel "Wochenschau". Speaker says it is during a work interval of a Berlin tank and tractor factory. Interesting (and completely unintended) mix of sublime music and battered proletarian workers faces....just another proof of the completely blind ideological exhaltation of the period. Nice playing anyway.
