Performed in 2005, this clip is taken from a concert with the great guitarist John Abercrombie, and the Calino string quartet. It is the second movement of a suite written by my brother Ronan who also plays bass here, to mark the 30th anniversary of our father's passing. It's a fantastic example of jazz and contemporary string writing.

This idea came about when Ronan, the bassist with the trio had his flight delayed and missed the first set at a festival gig. We played the first half as a duo, and had a lot of fun, so we decided to extend the idea. The clip here was taken at a lunch time concert in Cork University.
